World Spine Day is marked on October 16 each year to create awareness about the burden of spinal pain and disability around the world.
The aim is to motivate people to adopt healthy routines to make their spine strong, active and flexible.
Furthermore, amid the Covid-19 pandemic, consequent social restrictions and lockdowns have forced people to work from home with the majority having insufficient or improper facilities to comfortably work for a prolonged duration, which could have detrimental effects on spinal health and strength.
